The Wenner-Gren Center, completed in 1962 by architects Sune Lindström and Alf Bydén, features three sculptural buildings, including the iconic 74-meter Pylon tower. Designed to symbolize the pursuit of research, the Pylon’s offset rhombuses and indented gables create a slender appearance enhanced by its white and dark blue façade.

The lighting design amplifies this architectural elegance by illuminating the indented gables to emphasize verticality and refine its silhouette. Scaled "outline" lighting highlights the building's contours, ensuring its distinct form remains striking at night, with the interplay of light and shadow reinforcing the tower’s sleek, tapering design.
